May 27, 2008 (Celeb News) - Reader Nadira Maragh met Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan; and John Abraham on the set of Karan Johar's Dostana in Miami on April 22. Aishwarya had flown there to be with Abhishek for their first wedding anniversary.
"They was so nice and warm, also friendly," says Nadira. "I was so happy to meet them."

Aishwarya Rai to co-star with Meryl Streep in Hollywood film
May 27, 2008 (Celeb News) - Aishwarya Rai will co-star with two times Oscar winner Meryl Streep in a Hollywood adaptation of the French film Chaos (2001) by director Colin Serreau. The film focuses on the disruptions that result when a young prostitute accidentally intrudes into the lives of a middle class modern couple. Hounded, threatened, beaten, the prostitute struggles for her survival, her resurrection, her dignity, and freedom. Aishwarya will play the pivotal role of the prostitute. The film is yet to be officially launched, since it has first to be adapted for American audiences. However, both Aishwarya, 34, and The Devil Wears Prada star Meryl, 58, have agreed to be part of the project, a source tells TOI. Meanwhile, Aishwarya's participation in Roland Joffe's Singularity, with co-star Brendan Fraser, remains on track. A war drama, set in both the 1740s and the modern day, the $33 million film will feature two stories intertwined through poetic notions of quantum physics and Hindu beliefs. It will be shot entirely in India. Also on track is Aishwarya's participation in Robot with Rajnikant, and Mani Ratnam's next with Abhishek Bachchan. "There has been a delay in Robot because of the writer Sujata's death. The dates situation does get tighter for me because I was supposed to shoot Robot now and Mani's film a little later. We just have to work under a tighter schedule," says Aishwarya.

The Bachchan family's 'Unforgettable' world tour that will see Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan perform together on stage on hit numbers like 'Kajra re', begins July 18 in Toronto.
The first leg of the tour will also have performances by them in Trinidad & Tobago, Houston, Atlantic City, New York, Vancouver, London, said a press statement by Wizcraft International Entertainment, the event management company which is putting together the tour.
While rehearsing for the tour at a hall in Juhu, in the northwest suburb of Mumbai Tuesday, Abhishek Bachchan said Aishwarya and he were excited to perform together on the stage for the first time after their wedding.
'Aishwarya will be performing on some of her most popular numbers, including on the 'Dola re..' number from 'Devdas' with Madhuri Dixit. I am particularly thrilled about performing on the item number 'Kajra re' from 'Bunty Aur Babli' with my dad and Aishwarya,' Abhishek said.
The Bachchans will be accompanied on the tour by Preity Zinta, who is currently on a high after the success of her franchise Kings Eleven Punjab, in the Indian Premier League.
Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh will also join them. Akshay, however, will perform only in some select cities and not be with the Bachchans throughout the tour.
Shiamak Davar will choreograph the show and the music will be provided by Vishal-Shekhar.
Ahead of the tour, the Bachchans will attend the three-day India International Film Academy (IIFA) awards extravaganza, starting June 6 in Bangkok. Amitabh is the brand ambassador of IIFA.
Their much awaited 'Sarkar Raj' will be premiered there.
